Hi! I am Stephen Elkins, the creator, author and illustrator of The Adventures of Marie and Best Buddy. This story is based on my niece, Marie, and me as Best Buddy.

Back when Marie was 4 or 5 years old, she started calling me “my best buddy Uncle Steve.” And it just stuck. Marie was, is and always will be full of character, overflowing with a zest for life. As I thought about how I can create a story about her and me going on adventures together, I decided why not make Best Buddy her age. And the rest came together.

So join me as we find out all of the places Marie and Best Buddy go and the many new friendships they make.
